The Ebenezery
Hi,
Welcome (or welcome back) to my page.
As noted on the home-page, the period between the last update and now has witnessed a lot of activities. Yes, its true that I have done a bit of travelling and seen a few places and done a few things as well.
Well, as you might well imagine, the highest of highs was the time spent in the God's Golden Acre in South Africa.
I promised last time round to share my experience at GGA with you! I am putting up some pictures here to show you what it was like.
About me:
Horoscope: Taurus (12 May)
Football club: Manchester United
I like working with children and love kids.
It was great working with the kids, playing with them and helping them with their homeworks. Seeing the smiles on their faces warms up the heart and brings joy to all.
Sometimes you even get to be made a queen. You never know what you might be turned into, and that is part of the excitement
God's Golden Acre Khayelihle is a non profit making charity involved in the care of children who have been orphaned or abandoned because of HIV/AIDS related illness and violence. The project is located in the South African province of Kwa Zulu-Natal, in the valley of a 1000 hills.
This charity is doing a lot of wonderful humaniatrian work and saving lives of kids who would otherwise have no hope.
In the photo below, you see some colourful faces of hope and joy.
It has been wonderful working with the kids in GGA. They have made a great impression on me, and I hope that I have also succeeded in not only contributing to their lives, but in making some positive impression on them.
Sometimes they just need some loving care and attention. They go off to slep feeling secured, knowing someone is there by their side.
I do invite you to visit the website of God's Golden Acre and to support its wonderful work which has brought so much joy and hope to so many hopeless, poor and abandoned kids. You will be amazed at how much, even the most insignificant contribution you make goes a long way to helping these kids!
Living culture is part of the programme in GGA and in the photos above and below are the older kids of GGA who are in the cultural dance group. The group toured Germany in 2008.
